It seems to me that every PRS guitarist change the Dragons 2 to some kind of Seymour Duncan. Why is that so?
I know of some on other forums that haven't. I even know of a few that have put PRS pickups in other guitars :laugh2:.
I can't see why. They wouldn't have both the guitar if it don't sounded good. And the pickups influence quite a bit.
1. So why does then everybody replace them?
2. And why does PRS still keep them as stock pickups?
3. Or maybe is just a myth, and that you always hear about the people that change them and not about the people who keep them?
A lot of people buy guitars based simply on their acoustic properties. They look for good, resonant pieces of wood and then replace pickups later if they don't fit their preferences.
You're thinking of #7's--at least that's the stock pickup in the Singlecut. D2s come in the Custom 22.I think the ones that come to mind instantly were Dragon II's I believe. That came in the singlecuts.
