...Well, it is Gibson doing what Gibson does best.Which is not the BFG lately :smack: specially not after seeing this video...

Goddess and Vixen
...I can't get excited over it when Gibson, Fender, and other companies release "new" axes that you could basically make by buying new knobs/hardware/pickup rings yourself. Or am I missing something? I mean... that just looks like every other Paul to me.

Looking at Gibson's newer models... the only ones that appeal to me at all if I were in the market ever again for a Gibson type guitar would be the Goddess and Vixen. Though they do need more knobs :laugh2:, the others just look half assed... those new centuries and GTs (you'd think I'd like the GTs too, huh), and now the BFG
Slade
It's getting to the point where whatever Gibson puts out won't make a difference because no one from the masses will be able to afford it.
Are you Ed Roman? Your quote sounds exactly like Eds comment, which happens to be on the Lucky Charms site...Looks great.....but is anyone else tired of Gibson, PRS and other "big" name companies charging thousands of dollars for MACHINE made guitars that probably cost $300 - $500 to make....I know I am.
And why are they playing gay metal when the guitar has a P-90... Play some southern rock for ****s sake and market it as the bluecolar custom gibson.

That's a rather piss-poor comparison. You're pitting the most cheap-sh1t Gibson against a Standard-series Fender. Compare it to the Highway 1 Fenders, and while the Fender is still a more "finished" product, it's closer price and marketing wise. It's still not apples & apples, as the HWY1 Strat looks, feels, and sounds considerably more like it's higher-priced counterpart than the $650 Les Paul. You mean fender right?
I can get an american made les paul NEW for $650.
I can't get any american made fenders for less than $900.
