"everything axe" set - not everything

Hi y'all -
I have an Everything Axe set installed in my Stratocaster.
There is not much on these forums about this set, and I have a question for you all...These pups are okay, actually quite nice, but I kinda miss the honest to goodness quackiness I had with my regular pups.
Someone suggested I split the pickups. NO idea about what that does or how to do it with this set. Anyone have any thoughts to share?

Thanks

You don't need to split the duckbucker, because that won't work. This will get you passable "notch tones" on 2 & 4 positions. Just wire the duckbucker hot and ground like the middle single coil in the diagram. Hope this helps.

You did wire the duckbucker (middle) in parallel right? If you don't that PUP sounds dead and useless. This PUP gives the set it's versatility. I had my first set installed and the dumb a$5 tech soldered the red and white leads together like the other two PUPs. I ended up correcting it myself.

This is awesome! Has this diagram been out for a long time or is it new? I never saw it before! You definitely want to wire the duckbucker in parallel for this. This gives it single coil - like qualities. With this wiring your set would be the sheeeeeetttttt!!!!

Oh man...all these great posts!
I'm gonna check it out tonight and report back. Thanks, folks! Keep 'em coming!

Okay - stupid question here. When I go to wire the Duckbucker like a regular single coil, what color wire is hot and which is ground, and what to to with all the others?
Hard to believe I'm a technical type...

Thanks so much, all.
