Everything Axe wiring advice please

Does anyone have any advice on wiring options for this set? I'm going to be wiring a new pickguard for them, wasn't sure whether or not to put split and/ or parallel options for the neck and bridge.

Also, I'm wondering about wiring the JB jr to one of the tone knobs. I don't think I want to do a 7-way system, so if I wire the bridge and neck to one tone pot, when I'm in position 2 or 4 I will have tone controls for both in-use pickups.

Thanks everyone.

This is the diagram I have used to wire up the Everything Axe before. I don't think it is the way the pickguard comes if you buy it, but it is the way I like it the best.

Would I have to modify that? The Duckbucker doesn't work split, does it?

I was thinking about putting mini-toggles in for the JB jr and the lil' 59.

The Duckbucker doesn't work split, does it?

Yes and no. I'll have to save the "yes" for another thread. But both the Duckbucker and Vintage Rails both work great series, or their natural parallel.

Re: Everything Axe wiring advice please

Do you think I would miss the option of having the neck and bridge on their own split or parallel?

I don't think so. Obviously, the Duckbucker doesn't do split, but it sounds great as it is in parallel. It sounds quacky with it in parallel in combo with a split neck or bridge pickup. Yes, there will be a little noise, but it does sound good to me.

Thank you. I will have to hunt for a five-way super switch that will fit in a Squier body.
