Notice the concentric knobs for gain and channel volume on channels 1 and 2. Fixes a big complaint with the original 50 watt.

If they would've done that with the clean/crunch EQ, it would be perfect. Shared EQ is one of the things I hated about the 5150 I used to have.

That would complicate the circuit a good deal and probably make it harder to squeeze all that into the same chassis. You'd need space on the circuit board for a whole additional tone stack and then the additional switching circuitry to switch between them.

Point taken. Maybe they should make a 50 watt in a fullsize chassis.

Good point but how many 5150/6505 users "know" that these amps have 2 channels? Even fewer have used the first one ever. I'm guessing that the least used item in peavey's history is the footswitch for these amps...
