evh bridge in american ash strat

This sounds like a safe bet, but I'm toying with the idea (after reading several rave reviews of the evh frankenstein pickup (thanks woodytone for the great articles) of putting this humbucker in my 2008 fender american ash strat for some classic rock tones. I'd need to get a HSS pickguard, but other than that, it sounds like this pickup will make me smile. The other pickup I was considering was the PG.
I already have my other strat, an amer. deluxe, setup just the way I want with all single coils, and I don't have a guitar with humbuckers AND tremolo, and this might be just the ticket.
Has anyone done this here who would care to share their results?

I know this might not help, but if I had the cash I would jump on it. I am trying to make a versatile HSH strat, but definitely an axe that can handle Eddie! I am looking at the Custom Custom, but hot **** if I could afford the '78

Re: evh bridge in american ash strat

I'd love to find some comparison clips of the evh frankenstein pickup, to compare it to say, the pearly gates, or duncan JB. I was hoping someone with a strat with floating tremolo had tried one of these, ideally in comparison to what they had in the bridge previously.

Also, what pots come standard in modern american strats? 500k?
