EVH Neck

Any comments about how these sound? I just ordered a set (neck and bridge).

Hmmm...never heard any comments on a neck version. Some of the guys around here seem to like the bridge though.

Anyway, let us know how they sound! I was thinking about the bridge model for an old strat. If the neck is cool, maybe I'll just use both...

I have a 7 string set and a 6 string set. The neck sounds really good. I guess I would compare it to me alinco II but it has more lower mids. It is pretty sweet sounding in the neck. One guitar has an ebony fingerboard and the other has a maple one. It sounds good with both. The 7 string set is wound a little hotter due to the size of the pickups. They still sound great and very very close to the six string versions.

Don't worry, you made a good choice.
