Which Rio Grande is that? They don't give any meaningful data about their pickups...just cheesy Texas barbecue references.

Well...I've got a Rio Grande Geniuine Texas (pictured...which reads at 9.38) and a DiMarzio Prototype F Spaced w/Dual Rows of Adjustable Slotted Screw Pole Pieces that reads out at 16.73 which I may use in place of the Rio, as I'm looking at DiMarzio SDS-1 or FS-1 in the neck or a Duncan SSL-5 possibly.

Got the body today, still need some parts and the current "5150" will be coming off...not sure if I'll put one w/Black Outlines on the numbers back on it.

Got the "5150 **" Stickers off.
Need a Chrome OFR Arm, Chrome String Retainer, Neck Single Coil, probably going to go "sans" pickup ring, find a black covered Duncan or DiMarzio Single Coil for the neck and use a V/3Way/TBX Set up since the holes are already there for the controls.

Still have to pick up some Chrome Parts; Floyd Screw Posts, Nut Lock Blocks & Bolts, String Retainer, Collared Trem Arm...as well as a Single Coil for the Neck Pickup Slot (SD APS-1N) and some electronics; Vol/3 Way Toggle/TBX.
It's going to require adding some wood to the Humbucker Cavity to allow for a "Direct Mount" of the DiMarzio Proto F HB w/o a Pickup Ring...but I'm liking the outcome thus far! :headbang:

I'll have to direct mount the HB w/some foam padding under the pickup and use the wood screws, springs and glued in wood pieces. Def looks way cooler. Almost got all the parts I need to assemble - grabbed a SD APS-1N Single Coil today......waiting on a Collared Arm and Chrome Floyd Screw In Posts.

I've seen a few of those EVH clone red bobbin single coil dummy pickups on ebay for the neck position.......ya know just incase ya wanna get really crazy.

Yeah, I've seen the Red Non-Functional Single Coils on eBay and Divebomb...not a bad racket...paint a pickup red and working or not sell it for $30.00. Crazy.
