Re: EVH Wolfgang Custom
I have EBMM EVH's and three types of Peavey Wolfgangs from the Deluxe, US Special Deluxe and CS Special and everyone is an outstanding ax. There are certain things I like better on each model such as the Peaveys 15"radius compared to the EB's 10", though I slightly prefer the EB pups as they are a bit more versatile as the Peaveys are seriously hot. Though some like them better as cranked they melt faces lol..
I have yet to checkout the new Fender Wolf which is made in the US Jackson CS and the Special in the Jackson Japan factory. I love the look of the new Custom and I never played anything Ed was involved with that did not deliver.
Honestly this is the first forum where I did not hear one person complain about price which seems to be the biggest issue. Ed is not even my favorite guitarist though he would be in my top 5 and definitely would get my nod as the second most innovative player in rock history after Hendrix. What I do not understand is the backlash and all the Ed is just greedy remarks when almost all his peers have CS and sig models in the same range and a lot of them even more expensive. Yes without a doubt the guitars are pricey but it is Eddie Vanhalen after all and the guy does get very involved in the making of his gear more than anyother player I could think off and does just not scribble his name on a headstock. Also I would wait to catch one from a dealer on ebay and save close to a grand on one anyway.
