EVH Wolfgang pickups are not F-Spaced?

Recently bought an EVH Wolfgang bridge pickup. The retail version, boxed. Upon checking it, it appears it's not F-Spaced. Is this normal? The poles are 49.21mm apart center to center. I'm baffled at this. Also, the pickup reads 14.70k. I'm wondering if i got a neck pickup in a wrong box. These pickups are not marked so i cant be sure. What do i have?

i've found two threads online that state the EVH pickups don't come F-Spaced. I'm still unsure though

Don't know about the F-Spaced part but I do know that the neck pickup has higher DCR than the bridge pickup, which is rather confusing for many people.

Doesn't it have a sticker on the back for what position it is? At least on the EVH gear website they show that the Wolfgang pickup has a sticker on the back of the neck model.

I'll check mine.

Mine seems to have a pink letter b and e written in something that looks liberals sharpie and half Chalk. As far as F spacing? Mine didn't say, but I compared them to strat bridge humbucker that I have since takenapart, it was fished from a Squier by fender, which is just Fenders one off/budget brand.

thanks folks. i'm gonna have to head down to Guitar Center with my calipers. This is going in a US Strat and the string spacing is significantly wider than the poles. The high E is completely outside the path of the pole (kinda like the pic on the box...??) There are no markings or tags on the back of the pickup.

Man, that's so absurd. How does Eddie use them? It's not like he plays guitars that tilt the humbucker anymore.

Re: EVH Wolfgang pickups are not F-Spaced?

Waiting for somebody more awake than me to come and explain how F-spacing is more cosmetic than functional.

Re: EVH Wolfgang pickups are not F-Spaced?

Get you money back and have SDWD Custom Shop make you an
IM1. Costs about the same, can be F spaces, and sounds waaaaaaaay better.

Re: EVH Wolfgang pickups are not F-Spaced?

It is odd. I ordered one and returned it. I had no idea it would not be f spaced.

Re: EVH Wolfgang pickups are not F-Spaced?

They overdid the whole attempt to be historically correct

Afair, on at least some of his sognature guitars the pups were too small for the floyd spacing also

None of his bridge pickups are F-spaced and it has nothing to do with historical accuracy when it comes to the EBMM EVH, Peavey Wolfgang, and EVH Wolfgang.

Historical accuracy only applies to the Frankenstein pickup.
