Exchange policy and which p90s should I order?

Folks-
Have been building a mahagony body warmoth for sometime now and am just about ready to order pups-

I'll order the pups via a local dealer but they have had no expereince wiht the 21 day exchange policy and I wonder if you could help me confirm how it is supposed to work and also help me firm up the combination I'm looking for so maybe I'll get it right on first pass?

1. Can anyone explain in real terms how the poilicy works?
a. Is it 21 days from delivery to me? Does shipping time back and forth count? Is it realistic to try more than a set or two this way? Do I pay the freight? Does the dealer have to buy into all of these requirements (whatever they are?)

b. Are there any limiations? ie I'll go with a RWRW neck but what if I change out either pup- will they still make sure they have the reversed correct?

2. I'm after the classic p90 sound (clean and lite overdrive) and had planned for sometime to go p90-1 in the neck and p90-2 in the bridge- But having played an ES225 this week, I'm wondering if I don't want an even more clear/bright bridge pup so thinking p90-1s in both positions.

Then a new idea hit me- What about an sp90-1 in the bridge for clean/bright- and another sp90-1 BRIDGE model in the neck? It looks like it would get hotter and darker than the regular neck sp90-1, but not as far along as the neck p90-2?

Any thougths on these combos, the exchange program, or impact of one on the other would be greatly appreciated!

If the dealer follows the 21 day policy you can just try the pickup out on your guitar. If you don't like it bring back the pickup undamaged at least and trade for another. Basically its a 21 day return policy, try and exchange if you don't like it. Trying listening to the clips of both the p90-1 and p90-2 pickups in the bridge dirty. Those should give you a basic idea of how they would sound. For clean and light overdrive I would go for a p90-1 neck and bridge.

thx grendy-
I am pulling towardsp90-1 in both positions as a result of the clips but would help if I knew more about the guitar and rig the clips used in the recording-

One the 21 day policy, it sounds like you might get to try 2sets depending on if they have reverse in stock? Thinking it would take a day or 2 to get a feel for the first set, if they go back, in might be 7-10 days to turn them around again, and a few days to test the 2nd set-

Anyone know if they keep reverse p90s in house ready to roll?
