I like mid-output pups for the bridge for metal and rock. Nothing more than 12K. I let my amp do the work.

Everything and nothing....while I occasionally like a more vintage vibe, I generally prefer hotter pickups all around.... ;)

I used Distortion pickups and similar, but as I tried my Seth Lover pickups, I noticed that these pups also sound great under heavy distortion, making them very suitable for metal. Think Randy Rhoads here.
