I voted for everything too, but not so much for the overdrive as for the horn-like sustain and bloom the compression of higher output pickups give you, even when played clean, or especially when played clean. If you want a little more air or chime in the tone, you can always back the pickup away from the strings a little bit.
Not that I don't like vintage-ish output pickups in the bridge ever, it depends on the guitar. Some guitars, like my LP Std, have such a naturally beefy, thick tone and bloom that they don't require a high output pickup. I have a Jon Moore hybrid in that one. Whatever works...
