Experience with the Het Set?

Anyone here have experience or opinions on the EMG Het Set?
I'm curious and have been thinking about getting them for my Explorer.
Currently have a Custom and a Jazz/A4 in it. I like them ok but am wondering if the EMG's will be a little "tighter" for palm muted "chugging" and that 80's metal sound.
My Jackson with a Super Distortion seems much less flubby for the high gain chug than the custom, so maybe I'd be better off getting one of those for the explorer.

Just curious if the group here has any experience to help my decision.

Well, I found a used set for a decent price on Reverb and decided to pull the trigger. I'll see how they sound.

Don't know how I missed this thread. Post some sounds if you can. I'll bet that they sound fantastic for a wide range of tunes.

And if you decide to sell the A4 Jazz and Custom set...

I plan on posting a clip or 2 when I get them installed.
If they sound good the Jazz and Custom will likely be for sale.

Got these installed this evening. I freaking love them so far.
