So far I have been faithful to Celestion for no reason other than they are famous and I have Vintage 30, Greenback, G12T-85, newer G12 Century Vintage, and experimenting with them almost as if there was no alternatives.
Recently I got my first Eminence speaker "Red white and Blues" for my beloved Traynor YVC40 and I was shocked to see how much difference a speaker can make for the same guitar and amp. I am wondering why I haven't started expermenting with different speakers much earlier. I was so impressed with Red White Blues, I ordered two more Eminence speakers yesterday and they are Governer and Black Powder for my Rivera Chubster, which is 1X12 combo. My chubster is very loose sounding, and it appears that Black Power might be a very good match. It would be fun to compare blackpower with governer.
