Experimenting with wiring & sound

I have fitted a Pearly Gates Trembucker bridge and a Cool Rails neck pick ups. 2 push/pull pots with individual coil taps. Tone to split cool rails and volume to split pearly. I’ve split the cool rails using the black/green together on the dpdt switch and red/white to dpdt to split pearly. I’ve also added a treble bleed circuit. It sounds fantastic and loads of variations but it’s started cutting out on the cool rails and wondering if I’m causing any damage to it. When I push/pull on the pot it comes back and stays ok for a while but the pearly gates is fine not a single problem. Is this the switch in the pot as I’m suspecting or possible damage occurring?

Re: Experimenting with wiring & sound

The switch or a loose wiring solder joint. You can't damage the pickup that way.

Most likely you just need to re-flow the solder. You won't damage a pickup if it is cutting out.
