explorer kit build underway

after being gearless for 3 years for the most part. i am finally able to start back again. its nothing fancy but so far there is a lot of promise. its just one of the cheap $150 kits from ebay but so far so good. as expected the hardware and electronics are crap. so they will get replaced as soon as i can. its a mahogany body with maple neck and rosewood board. the neck profile is along the lines of the 50's gibson. i am going to leave the pickgaurd off and try to use a round jack plate for the switch. the hardware will be black and zebra pickups.
i had a ton of different finishes in my head but decided to go more simple and just stain it. i tried to get the headstock to match as much as possible but thats as close as it will get.
