Will it affect tone of a pickup to solder extra lead on the the existing four conductors, they are kind of short?

I've done it with no probems...in fact i think I even still have some of the 4 conducter wire to do it with (it's even that same color code as a Duncan pup). PM me and if you want I'll get you some wire to do it with!

Re: Extending leads

Logically it seems like it would work, but I wasn't sure about what the extra solder points would do. I'm probably just going to go to raido shack or something and pick some up. I'd like to fix it today. The JB I put in my SG was just barely long enough to fit leads wise. One of the leads pulled out from the sloder joint today. Oops, maybe it wasn't long enough! Thanks though. You wouldn't happen to have any braided conductor wire would you? I will need that sometime soon (for the Kramer).

Thanks anyway. I guess that means I can put off touching the Kramer some more!

I have some braided single conductor wire I would be willing to donate to help a forum brother out. I also have some 4 conductor somewhere.
