Extending Wires

I need to extend the hot/ground wires that come from the output jack on a guitar I'm working on. For the insulated wire, can I just solder more insulated copper wire to the end of it to make it longer? And what about the bare ground wire? All I have are a few spools of insulated wire to work with.

Yup, that works. You can also buy 4 conductor wire from www.guitarelectronics.com. That way you can make your wire as long as you like.

Kinda requires taking apart the pickup a bit, but it can be done in about an hour.
