Extension cab for my Mesa Mark III?

Hey guys...

I'm looking to get my hands on an extension cab for my Mark III combo. I want something to add a little to the low end.

I'm looking to get a 1x12, to make portability easy. What would you guys reccomend? My Mark III already has an EVL speaker.

I am open to any suggestions. I'd raher get a good high quality cab the first time around rather than a cheap cab I'll wanna ditch in a year for something better.

sounds like a G12H 30 to me

I can recommend the Hellatone 30 from Dave @ Avatar, and he should have a reasonably priced cab.

I have to say that I'm not that familiar with that amp (I've heard they're cool, though ). So I'll add this ... the G12H will help add bottom, but if you ever plan to play through just the extension cab, it should be power rated enough to handle the amp.

I'd just snag the 1x12 Rectifier cabinet and be done with it .

Look for a 1x12 Thiele cab loaded with the EVM 12L. Huge handling capabilities makes it the perfect pair for a 1x12 combo if you're looking for a small portable cabinet.

It is discontinued, and though they reissued the speaker, I'd check on eBay for one of the origionals.

This is a no-brainer...get a Mesa 112 Theile cabinet, RIGHT NOW!!!!!

The EVM is preferable to the C90 in that cab, but if you found a great deal on a C90 Theile, you could swap the speaker in your combo.

I have a Mark III in a very rare Cream Vinyl and a Mark IV in black tolex--and two matching 112 EVM Theile cabs for these amps. Great rigs: small footprint (great for tight stages), unbelievably portable, puts your amp up at a height where the knobs are easily readable--and these little "quarter stacks" have put a lot of full stacks in the kindling pile, leaving their owners shaking their heads!

The Theile cab has tremendous crunch and punch, while the open-back of the combo adds "air", dimensionality, and spaciousness to your sound.

They show up on E-bay all the time, and they ain't gonna make you break your piggy bank--AND, you'll make back every dime and more when it comes to "re-sell" time.

It's like AMEX--I don't leave home without my THEILE!

I love both the C90 Thiele Cab and my Recto 2x12 cab with my Mark 2

Used at the same time they really compliment each other.

they work well with the old 12L as well. I am not a huge EV 12L fan though.
