Alrighty who it's been a while since I asked a question (and a serious one at that)
Lucky me I got my '59 for the 7 string in and am finally going to order the 7 String Full Shred from the Custom Shop.
But wait!
Will shipping through rather cold temperature damage the copper windings of the pickup?
If I order it now, the outside temperature when it possibly will arrive will be somewhere in the region of -35 celcius or -31 F (going by an online converter). I have some doubts that the pickup will reach that temperature, granted the pickup should be wrapped well and and in it's usual box.
But then again I've also picked up parcels in winter that were cold enough to cool beer with.
And to put in bluntly we've already got snow on the ground and believe me, I have serious doubts that it will go away.
So, would being sent by mail through those temperatures damage the coils?
