Have not really heard from that guy in about a week and I tried several times to reach him this weekend. Good guy, and he really wanted it, but I got emergency car repairs to deal with and a credit card payment to make on the Hamer I bought to replace this one.

i love my Deans including my TC Caddy and i've known BTMN for a few years now...done deals with him including buying the Hamer Standard he sold to pay for that TC Z.....great guy to deal with...

Hey JeffB, it wieghs 9lbs on a Wallymart fish hanger scale. :scared:
Photographs well but looks very uniform in color to the eye.
Thanks the_Chris and Bad Jaxx for the compliments. And you Jaxx, changing that pretty Standard's name from Flash to Slut just cause it cant keep a home. :nana:

I called that one Flash because of the way the wood flashes light. It is like that freakin' scotch reflective tape they make signs out of. It's cousin on the left below, Mahstand3, said it right on the case, is a whopper with a nice set of Duncans in it. Custom 5 and a Custom Custom. Raises Hell!:evil:

I played this guitar yesterday and if it goes it goes but if I have to sit on it a while I wont mind. :13: :13: :13:

My bank accounts wouldn't mind seeing it go but we wont go belly up keeping it either. :27: :bandit: :sword:

LOL...i KNEW that Korina that popped up would cause you fits...

for those who haven't tried an Explorer style, i didn't think i'd like them either for a long time....got my first and had to have another...great balance and very comfy....Dean and Hamer make the best ones...

So, with the fat end they can have a really obscure heavy neck and stay balanced? Thats pretty awesome really. I wish i had some money to give it a try.

NOTHING balances like an Explorer, AS LONG AS....


it has a strap button at the the base of the neck joint like Dean, Current Gibs, Destroyers, and Hamers.

What you don't want is the ESP or original Gibson (and current EPI) style on the upper bout, which flat out sucks for balance.

Its an easy fix of course putting the strap button behind the neck if ya don't mind the extra hole in the body.
