Several forums have first offer rules if you don't post prices. ie if you don't post a price and I offer $500 for the 335 that's the sale price. Can't force them to sell at that price but they can and do suspend accounts for violation of that rule which makes selling it period a little tough. At least from that site anyway

I suggest you mods to stick some description rules for posting. I've done pretty decent deals with a bunch of guys here, but the trading posts at sevenstring.org (for example) are WAY better organized.

SS.org is too picky about format and prices. Half of all listings have the first post being a mod telling them to reformat their ad or add a price. SDUGF leaves it open so it feels like you're on your own with this transaction and SD has nothing to do with it but provide a means for you to buy/sell gear. Personally, I like it if you know and trust the guys on this forum.

Well, it only means that the user didn't read the forum rules before posting. It's just a matter of copying and pasting the format rules, then filling the information.

I can't see why making a proper thread with all useful information sumarized at the header (like contact info, price and description) would be an issue at all.

SDUGF leaves it open so it feels like you're on your own with this transaction and SD has nothing to do with it but provide a means for you to buy/sell gear. Personally, I like it if you know and trust the guys on this forum.

I do like it also, the problem is that there's still unknown users, and even an user with a high post count (like this thread owner) can mess things up.

Isn't he in China? I don't think $21 dollars would cover shipping. Personally, I'd pay shipping + $21 + a chicken.

Should you guys really be in here raising hell about his thread? Who cares. Sure he should post more details, but if he doesn't, it's just sales lost for him.
