Tone4days bought his from me several years ago....i bought it new from a dealer in Canada who stated it was Ash....
if i hadn't just bought 3 new guitars, i'd snap this one up....i have a very nice Warmoth Tele but still miss the tone the Tokai had...
great price...

yeah, mine is my #1 for at home playin (gets my chops in shape fastest as it really makes you play your best) .. loud acoustically - good for figurin out new tunes for the band without firin up the amp ... live, i use it open G for stones stuff ... mine is made of sen, a japanese variety of ash ... strikes me as heavier than swamp ash ... mine is MIK ... says 'made in korea' right across the back of the headstock ... to date it, the first letter (A-L) correspond to the 12 months of the year (A=jan, B=feb ... ) and the first digit is the year (mine is a 3, indicates 2003)

1 - Is the guitar really that yellow or is it the flash that makes it look that way?

the finish definitely has more scotch than the butter it shows in the pics...and the neck has more tint to it as well...it's not quite the same shade as a real 52ri, but it's not canary yellow either.

as far as shipping...if you give me your address...i'll pack the guitar up and take down to the UPS by my house and find out exactly how much it will run...not a penny more!?

i did jack up the tone pot shaft when i tried putting the chrome knobs back on...so i'll include two new push/pull pots with it!

i'm gonna list it here for another couple of days and then to the bay it goes!

no maybe about it, lol, its sold. i dont know what it is about this thing, i dont even particularly like the way tele's sound.....but this one is giving me my first real case of needless GAS, lol.
