Im putting this up strict for trade to see if i can sucker..ugh, I mean interest anybody in a straight across trade or trade plus abit of cash.It'll be going to auction real soon, so thought i'd see what you don't have.
Okay, heres an Alamo 60's tube amp. Its a poormans Fender teed Bassman . Cleans are Fenderish with the bass turned down- not quite as Chimey and w/o as much sparkle as my Bassman, but thats true of most amps , even my Sunn. With the bass turned up it gets clean and bassy, but not as full sounding as the Bassman. Cranked the Alamo gets that bassman style distortion, but its granier and not as thick. Before I got my Basman, this was the closest thing I had to it besides my Sunn, which gets a little tighter on the bottom, but also has that Basman distrtion when cranked through speakers that will break up.
I digress.. Youll not find a Cleaner example for a long time. This one recently came out of the closet after being in storage for 10 years. My tech did a complete recap on it and checked it out and its in perfect working order and should stay that way for years and years to come.
Check the pictures they are pretty good and should tell you how the amplifier looks, becuase thats the exact condition it is in right now. Notice the real nice old stock 6l6's in the amp... Im going to cop them for my bassman and switch out the tubes in my bassman into the Alamo, which are still nice old stock peavey tubes. All tubes in good condition . Amp runs perfect , no issues with anything, no heat issues, or buzzes pops clicks hiss hum or anything.This is one oin a million. Its got some decent power and some good sized iron. Trade me for something-
Im not looking for anyhting inparticualr, just something or anything that catches my fancy;
