It's just the first few bars of the solo to keep things short. All settings were exactly the same.

First up is the Distortion neck, next (00:31)is the Distortion neck split to a single coil, next (1:03) is the Jazz, next (1:32) is the A2Pro, then (2:03) the 59, then (2:33) the neck pup (single coil) from a Squier Affinity, and finally (3:03) the neck and middle singles from the Squier Affinity.

I have a Hot Rails neck, and a DiMarzio PAF coming, clips of which I'll add shortly.

I gotta say I prefer the Jazz myself, although when I was recording it I didn't like it much. The Squier neck+middle sound pretty good too considering how cheap those pickups are.

I like the sound of the Jazz myself, though I'm gonna have to say I liked the A2Pro a bit more. There was something that was just a bit sweeter about the A2Pro.

No I did! I have it in another version, although it wasn't perfect by any means, it's a bit of a **** to play that bit. :1: I just didn't want to have each clip lasting too long, people would get bored.
Did you get it working yet?

i'm really liking the sound of the jazz, i've not tried one yet and to me it compares very well with the others in your clips

it and the A2P were my favorite humbuckers, ie jazz>A2P>59n for me.

the squier's neck and middle combo came out surprisingly well too like you said, i much preferred it to the DDn...

it'll be interesting to see how the PAF sounds

I agree, the AIIpro sounded best with those settings.
It simply had the most mids.

What was suprising was how small and plain the DDn sounded. Compression.
