Fake guitar neck on ebay, what to do next?

I've been looking for a Fender Richie Sambora neck on ebay for a while now, and I thought I finally found one. But after a little research this one, imo, is bogus. The real ones I've seen did not say made in usa on the front of the headstock and had a long string tree. Also on the back of the headstock the serial number is in the wrong place, it does not have the allen wrenches held in place, and the screws to hold the locking nut do not go through the body. Oh, and the tuners are wrong and possibly crooked. Perhaps most questionable is if you google the serial number you can see pictures of a real Sambora neck with the same serial!

The listing doesn't mention Fender, just Richie Sambora neck. So I emailed the seller and they said it was, in fact, a real Fender neck. My question is do I email back and explain the issues or just report it to ebay. I'm not buying it no matter what, but I don't want anyone getting ripped off. The seller may legit not know. I don't know why I even care so much to be honest. I guess I just feel like fighting today.

So many things are wrong with that neck that I'd steer clear. Yes, of course, the dead giveaway is the serial number matching to one you can find via Google Search.

I'm reporting it to eBay and you should too, as should everyone on here. The seller knows it's fake too.

Looks to me like a Squier neck with a poorly faked Fender spaghetti logo decal and the star fretboard position markers added. Wrong machineheads. Serial number decal in the wrong place.

You could send a message to the vendor, pointing out why you know that the neck is an obvious fake. Politely suggest that the listing is withdrawn before anyone else notices and reports it. (This allows for the possibility that the vendor has, themselves, been duped by a previous vendor.) The object of the exercise is to prevent anyone else getting ripped off. Having the vendor discreetly withdraw the listing is the least contentious option.
