Re: "family pics".....

5 of the same Ibanez model? dang!!!! you are almost as bad as Lew and his Strat fixation.....lol Always like seeing a 1275 in the mix:bigthumb:

Re: "family pics".....

I think one of these days I need to make a trip to Houston just to see these in person. I love those Destroyers.

Re: "family pics".....

Nice stuff Jeff!

Get a few more pics when the other 3 get done!

I have to ask...of all the Destroyers...do you have a fav or all they all about the same to you?

Re: "family pics".....

I thought I was bad when I had 7 guitars period. Not quite as insane with 7 of the same guitar, although I did have 2 Les Paul Customs.

Re: "family pics".....

No Strats? :D

Nice guitars. I've always wanted a 1275 but I will probably never be able to afford it. So many Destroyers as well, and that purple Les Paul. An odd collection but a cool one none-the-less.

Re: "family pics".....

..thanks for the kind words bros!...... The Red Ibanez in the middle is the one I got when I was 16. I'm so used to this body style that it's really "weird" playing anything that doesn't have the upper point to it. I rest my arm there when I play and strats are unusally difficult for me play since I'm so used to these...:(
Truth be told, I'm not overly "wild" about the shape, I just wanted one sooo bad when they came out in '81 and then got one in '82.....never really played anything else and then bought another one used in '89, then again in '97 (etc.)

The 56 LP is probably the funnest to play....light, simple and it's just plain cool to gig with a 1956 LP!!!!!!!

All of these have particular purposes (alt. tunings...etc) The only four that always go to the gig are the 1275, the red '82 and the '81 (with the black tremo) and my Tak acoustic...... set list (original/cover gig) determines if any other's go. I don't see any purpose in buying guitars just to "collect" them and all of them get played!

....earwicker, I'm still hoping if I leave them in the bed long enough....they'll "breed"....... where do you think Marshall "mini" stacks came from??...:bigthumb:

Here's my electric collection as it stood in late December...the acoustics aren't pictured.

Right now the red & green Strats are for sale and I think I'm going to put the semi-hollow ESP back up on the block too. That and the PRS both have new pickups and the Hamer needs to be cleaned & rebuilt at some point, it's a '93 Diablo and it's sat in it's case for the last year or two, such a shame really because it's a smokin' guitar and I've owned it forever.

Not pictured is an '86 Custom Shop Melody Maker which is being refinished at the moment and a few other oddballs like the Warmoth/Kramer IceKramer.

Jeff - Is the purple Gibson the '56? Who the hell made it look like Barney?!? :nervous: Did it come like that or was it a refin?
