I find myself jamming with my band for extented periods of time and running my amp was to hard so the the tubes start to overheat. What should i use for a fan, how can i install it, how much will it cost?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Fan for old Super Reverb Head

I see in your sig. You had your amp Blackfaced by Billy Penn? Maybe the
plate voltage is to hot for your tubes? I would take the amp back to him
or another reputable tech, And see what's goin' on in there? Almost every
Amp tech has his OWN idea of what a BF mod should be. If it didn't do this
B4 the BF mod? Then you have to question what EXACTLY does the mod do?

+1.

Maybe all you need to do is re-bias the tubes so they won't be running as hot, but it's very possible the mods are doing something undesirable to the rest of the circuit.
