FANS OF 70s ROCK UNITE......

I think this might be my favorite song that I have ever done. Really tried to dial in the doubled guitar sounds of the mid 70s. I tried to go Skynard on the mofo.....

I am useing a 12 Watt monster called the Leftee Pacemaker. It is a 6V6 beast that comed from the late 1950s. Its roots were that of a public address system. It was tweaked by Leftee from the Fender forums. He no longer messes with vintage amps, so I feel very lucky to have his work in my hands.

BTW I don't know if the drums could get any better, Rikki Davenport transforms every thing I do.

I am useing a Squier Thinline Tele, the stock SD Designs are as good as any Tele pickup I have owned!!

That is really cool. I'd love to hear it with some big rock vocals on it!

Thanks Mr Bees,

I have kinda abandoned the singer thing. I tried it for a bit this past year, and it was attached to the same trappings that are the fall of most bands... No shows, cancellations, ect. This was with two singers... Keeping it in my hands makes me get a lot more done...

kevlar, you rock my face off. Wish I had known you while I was living in Minneapolis (even if I was only there three months) :)

I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the best clip you've ever done, this is what I am talking about when I say knowing how to play, young pups on this boards should take notes. Mr. Davenport, a million complements. How much does he charge if a band wants to fly him out to record? I hear some Cozy Powell in his playing and just would love to at least jam with him one day. Dude that its just awesome ..... !

P.S.
Something tells me that I will save up, buy my first shabby recording rig for P.C. and post some hideous metal and post an AOR clip before you will ever do it. Come on Dude, let this people know about the best kept secret in the tube amp market.

oh man, those doubled guitars sound particularly freakin amazing! but the whole song ROCKS.........HARD! great work.

Another really cool track, kevlar. I really enjoy your stuff. You and the drummer clearly work very well together... so many of the tracks I hear have awesome grooves. I'm almost dancing in my chair.:bigok:

That's always a shame. Tell you what, I'll pop over and do it! Plus we could get some nice 70's-type twin leads going!! :D

Huge thanks man!!

I have no idea what Rikki would charge, he has a couple itty bitty kids, so I don't know if he has the travel bug or not. He is w/o a doubt the best drummer I have ever worked with. He lays all these tunes down with no rehearsal, and having no idea what the tune is when he comes over. I play him the parts as he sets up, and then we track it. Really amazing to witness...

The AOR is coming ( Soon I hope!!), I just gotta finish writing a tune for it. I have been playing it a bunch and the thing sounds beautiful.

Many thanks!

I had been listening to a bunch of Skynard and really tried to get that sound. I was pretty excited when I got it to work, I took me a bit to get the right feel for the playing. I wanted to play right off the beat, w/o straying. The next challenge will be to do it live!!

We could do triple leads!! You , me, and Nate who plays in the live band with me. How sweet would that be!!
