Fast Track 2 not doing it. Where to go from there.

I love this pickup, but it doesn't sound quite beefy enough to me, maybe I have it wired wrong, but at 17.3 k it isn't much louder than my two 8.2 k neck pickups. I'll check it today, but what Dimarzio strat bucker would be more beefy and chunky.

It has to be diMarzio because I am going to trade the Fast Track 2 in, 30 day return policy.

Woah... I wired that sucker wrong, the first position had both coils running, but the one closest to the bridge was out of phase, the second position had the neck coil and the middle pickup running together, WITHOUT the rest of the pickup... making a really cool classic strat notch sound, but not quite what i was looking for. I know what I did wrong, ill wire it up right tonight and see how it works

The FT 2 is plenty big sounding in my parts Tele. I have it in the bridge paired with a FT1 in the neck. If the FT2 isn't hot or thick enough for you, I think that your only other option would be the Tone Zone S, on which I can't really comment, as I haven't tried it.

Ok, update, i redid the wiring, i got the series working, i'm not sure if split is working, it sounds more like out of phase, anyway. It sounds pretty **** good. I think I'm gonna leave this one in.

I was going to say, I have one in an old Gibson Melody Maker, and it is one fat puppy!

If you wire the split properly, it sounds very nice also. Punchy!
