Fat, warm SD pickup?

Can any one recommend a fat and warm SD pickup? I play mostly clean and would like a change for my PRS P22 that doesn't sound bright and can get me a fat, warm dark tone.

You are looking for a humbucker, aren't you? Brobucker is a CS offer or Custom Custom is standard line.

Re: Fat, warm SD pickup?

You haven't said what guitar you want it for, but I assume it is a PRS which tends to be somewhat bright to begin with. And in that case the Custom Custom may be a good choice for the bridge. But there are others to consider.

Bridge: 1. Custom Custom is a fat, warm, dark sounding pup, but it doesn't have much high-end clarity/snap. Sounds like you have a blanket over your speakers.
2. Alternative 8 is also fat and warm, but retains some high end. It has good clarity and articulation. It's a great pup for full rich clean tones played right directly into your amp. And yet, when you want to push it, it will respond with lovely distorted tones. This is one of my favorite all around bridge pups, especially for a naturally bright-toned guitar.
3. Seth for more vintage tones and output.

Neck: 1. Slash
2. Seth
3. Screamin Demon
4. Gibson Classic '57 (I know I'm going to get some flack for this one, but I happen to love the warmth and smoothness of this pup in the neck)

CC bridge with Pg neck if you want warmth and fatness.
WLH set if you want some definition in there with the warmth and fatness.

As well you should. Nothing in that price range should have a dull high end and muddy tones. I have yet to own a PAF that sounds worse.

Would the CC bridge work well for clean stuff? Bass output seems slightly low.

Yeah, it would. It has more bass than the chart says, but when you add gain you can hear that it is certainly looser than something like a Custom. The Alnico II in the bridge is also a good choice, and not as high output as the CC.
