favorite chorus pedal

Re: favorite chorus pedal

What ever CC Deville used in the 80's! :18: :18: :18:

Re: favorite chorus pedal

I used to have 2 different Ibanex SC-10's...sold one and the other one is MIA...I think it got lifted at a gig :cussing:

I was thinking hard about another Small Clone or a Boss CE-2 (or a CE-1 if I could get a good deal)

Re: favorite chorus pedal

Boss CE-3. Stereo version of the CE-2. I don't use stereo, but it hasn't yet attained "vintage" status on eBay, so it costs hald of what used CE-2's go for. Great classic chorus sound for $35.

I was hoping that the CE-3 would come up...is it really the same as a CE-2 except stereo?

I've read that it is, but take a lot of what I read on the Internet with a grain of salt. To me, the CE-3 sounds just like I remember my CE-2's, but I had those 20 years ago. It's hardly a side-by-side comparison, but I like it.

Grab one before everybody else catches on.

Re: favorite chorus pedal

Aye, another vote for the TC Electronic Chorus/Flanger. The CE-2 is cool, too. Rich is dead on, IMO, in suggesting that you pick up a CE-3 and run it mono if you don't have a stereo rig. As far as I know, it's exactly the same circuit with stereo output.

Re: favorite chorus pedal

I like my Fulltone Choralflange, but it's not as dramatic sounding as some others like TC and Roland. I'm not a big chorus guy, so I use it as a swiss-army type effect, since it also does things like rotary speaker, flange, and mild chorusing. I use it last, so I can utilize it's stereo outs.

Re: favorite chorus pedal

I love the Visual Sound H2O, the most underwater-esque chorus i have heard.

Re: favorite chorus pedal

I had:
Boss CE-5 / Nice but a bit subtle and a little weak sounding
Boss DC-2 / Great sounds but sucked some high end off of the original signal
Boss DC-3 / My favorite of the Bosses, clean and clear, different sounding than a
regular type chorus, more spatial.
Ibanez BC-9 / this is my current chorus pedal, I love this one. It's warm and has
two choruses built into one pedal. They are different from each other
and they mix into one output. Very smooth and cool!
