Favorite Jam songs/progressions

If you ask me, all i really do in my band is get a basic progression or pieces of a good blues/classic rock song and improvise the crap out of it with everyone.

My favorites to jam to are:

Booker T and the MG's-Green Onions
Stevie Ray Vaughan-Mary had a Little Lamb
....Little Wing, Hideaway, Red House, Lenny, a variation of I've got rhythm for our jazz improv jams, and a couple of Allman Brothers songs.

What do you guys like to jam on?

Re: Favorite Jam songs/progressions

we like to do 'samba pa ti' to jam on ... 'europa' works well too ... from the ABB, we do 'southbound' or 'whipping post' or 'you dont love me'

'all blues' by miles davis is also fun ... you can take it in alot of directions if everyone is really listening

I LIKE MEGADETH LOL

how about 'hotel california' -- really easy to jam to
lol

Re: Favorite Jam songs/progressions

ac/dc songs are pretty easy to jam to, since they're based on blues.
'the ocean' by led zeppelin is also good
