Favorite neck humbucker to pair with '59/Custom Hybrid?

Like the title says. Alder HSH super strat with 24 frets.
I'm looking for maximum versatility; from great cleans to higain shred and everything in between.
The A2P thats in there now is a wee bit too soft and undefined in the bass for me.

Sentient is pretty popular, along with '59 and Jazz.

A few strongly advocate a hybrid, one coil from '59, another from Jazz. But that tends to be DIY or Custom Shop order...

Sentient is often described as being in between a '59 or a Jazz in any case, without troublesome quirks of either (boominess for '59 in some guitars, blandness and/or unbalanced presence for the Jazz).

Yep, I'd say Sentient too. It can handle just about anything, including high gain, it has great cleans as a vintage-output pickup, the note definition is excellent, and it's not boomy.

I'd go with the Jazz or Sentient, too. If it was 22 frets, I'd say the Alnico II Pro, but I don't like the way that sounds in a 24 fret guitar.

Good choice have 2 one with a Hybrid one with a Perpetual Burn great combos both!!

Only bummer is it looks to only be available in black. It needs to be white. Do you think the custom shop can help?

Bobbin color is a choice you can order through the Shop Floor Custom options, available at any SD dealer, and not as expensive as a full Custom Shop.

Have a Zebra so you you can get them in other colors. Last time I looked Banjo Mike on Ebay had some in different colors. Mike is who I got my Zebra Sentient through really good guy with super CS if you have any issues!! At the least plug Sentient in on ebay and look there are normally a few in different colors from the CS on the bay.

Will say this again to Duncan your flat shooting yourself in the foot with the Senient by marketing it the way you are and only offering it in black matt! It's the most versatile neck pickup you offer by FAR and you only are marketing it to the metal crowd and offering it in one color the black mat--??

Glad you mentioned Mike, I just snagged a zebra Sentient. He's almost never open anymore, I can't just stop in and pick up what I need anymore.

I've got in a Les Paul, not a superstrat, but I have to say the Custom/59 bridge and 59 neck is an awesome combo.

They're obviously related to one anther but with a little more tailwind in the bridge. Love this combo!

Delivered today and already installed. I'll be tweaking it a bit, but it's definitely a keeper. I'm really liking it in humbucker and single modes.

I use it with a '59 neck (but in a LP like guitar).

Delivered today and already installed. I'll be tweaking it a bit, but it's definitely a keeper. I'm really liking it in humbucker and single modes.

Same combo I have in my KOA DC 127 Carvin and absolutely love it for it's versatility. Had the Sentient paired with a ALT 8 at first and want to set another guitar up like that for more aggressive tones. Saying that the combo of the Sentient and the Hybrid is simply amazing in how they interact. Most versatile pickup combo I have ever used by far. Can cover about anything with it with the 3 way and a pair of split switches!!
