Ok I am re posting this with a different question ! What are your favorite pickup combinations for a Epi G-400 Worn series ? I have this tone stuck in my head that I want to get out of this guitar and I'm kinda stumped on how to get it out. The guitar as is has a nice Slash tone in the neck even when played straight through my Blackstar HT 5 head and 2x12 Greenback cab. The bridge even though rated at like 14k sounds weak in all aspects. The best way I can describe the tone I want is Angus Young with a lot more growl but I don't want to lose any sustain or bite if that makes any sense.. lol As a side note please don't tell me Pearly Gates ! I tried those and to me they SUCK!!

- C8 and '59N
- '59B (UOA5) and '59N
- Rio Grande BBQ set
- 498t (UOA5) and 490r (A5)
- A2P set
- Mean 90B (A8/A4) and Mean 90N (A5/A4)

I just picked up a G400 that's getting a Stew Mac Parsons Street set (A2 version).

Yes, the C8 (Custom with A8 magnet) is a great bridge pup for the G400.
Screamin Demon is an excellent neck pup and goes great with the C8.
A set of P-90's is also a super choice for the G400 (Mean 90 has great tone for a very reasonable price). I like my bridge Mean 90 with A8/A5 to get a little fuller low end in an SG.
