Okay, because I got a lot of crap for leaving out the humbuckers in a Telecaster, I'm staring a new poll. This one will be for Tele bridge humbuckers only. Some of the humbuckers were listed in the Part 2 thread. They are the DiMarzio Blades, Virtual T, Bardens, & EMG.

Now for those who think this is a worthless poll because there's no way anyone has had this many pickups installed; therefore cannot have an effective opinion, you're right. This poll is worthless. It's for fun...

Re: Favorite Tele Bridge Humbucker...

A bridge humbucker for a tele? Blasphemy!!

Lol, I voted for the lil 59 not because I've tried it but because its the only one I'd like to try.

BTW, you forgot the Twangbucker. :biglaugh:

I know, but I can't do all of them, so I chose what I thought to be the most popular...

Re: Favorite Tele Bridge Humbucker...

i just don't use humbuckers in the bridge of my tele. i may try i vintage stack one of these days but for now i will keep the single coils in there and the humbucker in the neck position.

Lol -- I was just kidding man! You've been so conscientious and accommodating that I thought I'd kid you a bit.

Re: Favorite Tele Bridge Humbucker...

I can tell you which I didn't like. :)

Tha Fender vintage noiseless sounded like poo when I tried them.

I liked the Twangbuckers when I had them in my alder Fernandez, but then, it wasn't really a tele anymore... :scratchch

Those pickups were a ton of fun though. :burnout:

hehehe that's my fault sorry...i'm just the odd ball tele player lol..."the anti twang" i should really do a clip of the tele hotrails to let the metal heads see that a tele can do thick heavy metal better tha some of the typical guitars used for the sound.

Hey I'd love to hear those clips even though I would never put a hot rails in a tele. John 5 (Marilyn Manson) uses teles so they can be used for that well.

Re: Favorite Tele Bridge Humbucker...

when i get some free time i may whip up a quick sabbath riff sound clip with one of my tele's so you can hear how evil a hot rail equipped tele can sound!

Re: Favorite Tele Bridge Humbucker...

I'm liking the hotrails i have in my tele a lot. I have a 500k push pull volume pot that switches from series to parallel. In series, it gets a great hard rock or can get a heavier blues sound, but does not sound like a fender. In parallel, it is still very loud, but it has some nice twang but with more output and less shimmer. with the right EQ can sound close to a single coil tele bridge.

Yes....I ordered a set for my 50's Tele and installed them. They were so bright I thought there might be something wrong withe or my wiring. I called Fender CS and they are supposed to be that bright...

The neck pickup is that bright too? Is it bright in a usuable way? My problem with most tele neck pickups is that they are dull and muddy.

To my ears, it was really bright. I know a lot of players who use that pickup and another bridge pickup. It has a strong bell tone to it.
