Favorite Tele Bridge Pickup

I really can't remember if a poll or thread like this has been done; other than Lew's "Ultimate Tele Tone" thread. So, I thought I'd start a poll for everyone's favorite Telecaster bridge pickup. Mine has got to be the Jerry Donahue Model. Even though I have a VIntage Stack installed, the JD is my favorite. I just need the noise-canceling feature. Actually, the Vintage Stack's tone isn't really that far from the JD's IMHO...

Now, I would like to have the Custom Shop make me a Jerry Donahue Stack. Thanks would be cool...

BTW, the most options for the poll was 10 and I picked the 10 I saw that fit the best. I know there are a lot more choices. So, if yours doesn't fall in the ones listed, choose "Other" and tell me what is is...

My favorite whould be my CS 53 Tapped Tele. I think my nexy Tele )that has single coils) will have an Antiquity I Set.

I am still liking the BG-1400 a lot - glassy, power, noiseless, twangy, great with distortion, no ice pick tone.

I voted for the Texas tele cuz its my current fav, although the Donuhue is a *very* close second. There are so many on the poll that I haven't tried! I'm dying to try the Fralins--- I think that they would be my first choice if I had them right now based upon all of the things I've read about them.

How hot is the bg1400? I remember seeing somewhere that the specs are off of the board 28k or something untapped.

i had never heard of this pickup until i came on this board ... and i had never heard the sound of it until your clips and CD ..

I haven't used one yet, either, but it's probably in the works. Anyway, from what I've been able to gather is that it's VERY hot.

This is a tough choice, as I really like the STL-2 Hot, JD, and Nocaster. The Antiquity I flatpole is my favorite overall, as indicated in the other thread, but my choice is this poll would depend on what neck pickup I had in mind. The Nocaster can be neck and neck with the Antiquity in the right Tele, but it's more variable. It works well with a mini-HB, but isn't hot enough for a HB or P90 neck pickpup IMHO. The JD is hotter and a better choice with a low power HB or P90 -- works great with a Phat Cat in my ash/RW American Series Tele. The STL-2 has better low end punch, great mids, and smooth highs, with enough output to keep up with a PAF or P90 at the neck. For sheer versatility, I guess I would have to go with the Hot Tele in this poll, but the JD could edge it out on any given day.

ummm where is the option for tele hot rails?? that's my fav duncan single coil sized pickup!! my main guitar has it in it and man it smokes, amazing sound IMO!!

Actually, I didn't. I didn't want to include the Tele pickups that have a humbucker character to their tone. I wanted to keep in line with the true tone of the bridge pickup.
