Favorite Wah Mods

Hey Guys,

I was digging through my storage garage and found my old union jack Vox V847 wah. I never dug it in stock form but always kept it cuz I loved the finish.

I currently have a Joe Bonomassa Wah on my pedalboard and love it.

I'd like to mod the union jack vox wah. The JB is great for nailing that old Halo inductor Clyde McCoy type tone.

So I'm just curious what mods are your favorite for this type of wah, I want something versatile, high quality, and a little different from what I have.

The two that I' wondering about are the Keeley Mello Wah (the $199 deal) and the JHS Super Wah ($130).

I'm sure both are great but just wondering if anyone has used both or if they may know of a better option. I don't really want to mod it myself, but if one of you is into that thing I'd happily pay you (and pay to ship the pedal both ways).

The JB Crybaby doesn't sound much like an old wah at all so if you want something different I'd suggest a wah that sounds like an old wah.

Contact Kevin at Wilson effects and get his Signature Wah drop in kit and call it a day!

this one sounds very interesting

I guess part of me is just trying to debate with old school vox wah tone or maybe switchable fasel inductors, or tweak the vox (the super wah from jhs)

it seems like most of these options would be great they just offer slightly different things (maybe I should scour ebay for more union jack wahs lol and try em all)

well I picked up a second union jack vox wah on ebay so I think what I will do is definitely go with the Keeley $199 mod (that gives me dual fasels, etc) and either the Wilson Signature or the JHS Super Wah.

Cuz I honestly can't decide which one I like better (it's tough when you are buying blind).
