The Millinium Falcon, shes fast but the X-wing fighter now thats a ship. Whoops! :smack:
Ok of those - probably Strat, and than Tele and Les Paul tied for second.

TIE Defender all the way. Darth Vader rules anyway :firedevil

It will turn into a LP vs STRAT contest in a day I think. They are the two most dominant characters in the world of guitars.

For me, out of these the LP is the winner.

Re: Favourite Guitar

Fender "Fat" Strat all the way! Ya got yer tremolo, yer humbucker sound, single coil sound, shapely body, not too heavy, wide assortment of colours. ...all in one baby!

Re: Favourite Guitar

I may play a strat right now but i feel that the les paul is made for me! I voted for the LP but my picks go like this;

1. Gibson Les Paul
2. Fender stratocaster

I love hollow bodies but they are too big for me. Im not big tele fan but i can use it. And im not much of an SG player at all.

Re: Favourite Guitar

A heritage Paul. Doesn't get any better than that in my books. Slick firm neck, beautiful top, and a fat in-your-face tone.

Les Paul for that classic distorsion

Strats for that soloing sound.

Thats an interesting take - for some reason, I've always just assumed LP's were for smooth, mellow sounds, and Strats for screaming distortion.
I think Jimi made me do it. ;)

Re: Favourite Guitar

I don't really like how the Stratocaster looks, but I'm really diggin' mine right now...so that's what I voted for...

But, the Gibson ES-335 and the Fender Telecaster come in a close second.

Although I could definitely handle owning a White Falcon and an EDS-1275

Re: Favourite Guitar

Schecter C-1 series :)

I've owned gibson les pauls and fender strats and never had one that was right for me. Schecters are just right for me. I have a C-1+ (C-5/PG) and a C-1 Artist Limited (JB/'59)

Re: Favourite Guitar

1) Les Paul for tone and playability. I feel at home on a Les Paul and I've played plenty of PRS, Hamers, Deans, Strats but always return to a Les Paul.

2) Hamer Mirage with a coil split in the bridge. Nice Strat alternative with huge tone and nice feel. I would take it over a strat any day...but again I am not a strat guy. Still wouldn't mind owning a strat someday.

3) Gibson SG.

My Deans aren't far behind.....

Re: Favourite Guitar

no bc richs? jacksons? hamers? boo.

im my opinion... strats are overpopulated. im not sayin i dont like them, but A LOT of people have one, or two, or three. les pauls..... theyre cool, but not my style of bridge. i cant believe u dont have the explorers and flying Vs on there.

Re: Favourite Guitar

Gibson SG for me.

Nothing plays like one, and the access to the upper frets is unequalled.

:)

Re: Favourite Guitar

David Thomas McNaught Phoenix. Killer single coil and humbucking tones, super fast neck, and beautiful quilted maple top. Oh yeah, and 100 % hand built . IMO it doesn't get any better than this.

Re: Favourite Guitar

If I had to pick one from the list, I would go with the Strat.
For me, personally, I have to go with the Wayne Rock Legend!!
