Fear, Fury, and Frustration

Re: Fear, Fury, and Frustration

Sounded really good man.

Only one issue, I barely heard the solo or harmonies, they need to be upped in volume in the final mix.

Re: Fear, Fury, and Frustration

Sounded Good. I could hear most of the harmonies clear, but I do agree that you should turn up the solo a little and the perhaps. the solo was way overpowered. Its a rough copy yea, so I bet lots of the stuff people are going to criticize, you probably already know. In any case, the one thing that stuck out to me the most, just by instinct, was the drums; they sounded a little too loud to me, especially the cymbals. Anyway, cool stuff. It's great to hear the players on this site.

No, I definately know. Most of the stuff on here is constructive anywho, so I don't mind :).

The final copy I'm gonna be using DFHS, in this one I'm using reason for the drums. But, I agree, the harmonies and solo need to be turned up. I just thought I did a really crappy job on em, so I turned em down real low :blackeye: .

Eh, its just a demo ;). It'll rock a bit harder and have some vox next time I record it  .

Re: Fear, Fury, and Frustration

good stuff dude. Sounds alot better than the version you sent me over AIM not to long ago.
keep it up!

Re: Fear, Fury, and Frustration

Great playing and very tight band.

As for the recording...

High-hat mic is too hot, but overall good balance. If that was brought down, everything else would be brought up in the mix. Drums and rythm good balance except for the high-hat. Lead needs more volume.

Re: Fear, Fury, and Frustration

Man, I love that! Yeah, cymbals down and solo up in the mix, but otherwise, that was a damn sweet demo!
