They sound rather good those pickups.

They are very clean, powerfull and responsive. However, they lack some midrange and don't "break in" easily. I am wondering what to do....?

Hmm they do sound very clear, with the right amp it is probally not much trouble, use them with midheavy stuff?

What would be a good, powefull, midrangey Tele pickup? Any suggestions?

STL-1b or the APTL-1, that is some of the best Tele pickups I have used.
Even had the APTL-1 in a Strat once
Wish I never had sold that one.
