FEELER: Celtic Edana w/Marshall 1966A

PUCKBOY99

Irish Flagologist
Hey Fellas, on the fence with this one.

I haven't played or used this amp in over 2 years (at least). Current living conditions prohibit any rocking volume so it's basically too much amp for my needs & living in the closet is just a shame !

I have no idea what to ask for it & I'd probably only let it go with the matching 2x12 cab. I also have a 4x10 bottom cab that I never got around to recovering (still Marshall black tolex).

I've got 2 Celestion Golds, 2 12-65s, & 2 Greenbacks...or empty...whichever.

I don't really need anything in trade, although a bound Tele Custom or 335 would possibly spark my interest.

Here are some pics....check out Scott's site for a few clips....maybe Scott will chime in on what's what for any of the techies out there.

Any thoughts or offers, feel free to throw them my way. I only have it posted here as I think it should stay with Forum members.

My mind has been blown. It's a shame that you can't enjoy it any more.

Awesome.. and its got the Mexican Flag and everything!..haha..J/K Scott F. This is amazing. I'd kill for an Edana! With two Golds and 4x12!!? Couldn't touch it!

I'm definitely interested although just the head...
It's all a matter of what you'll want for it and what shipping will be... And how my daughter's doing when you really decide to let it go...

Not sure....I guess I'm trying to gauge the interest before actually coming to terms with letting it go.

Due to the custom tolex, I'd only be interested in moving the head & cab together.

I've got a closet full of stuff that I don't use, so eventually, I'll pull everything out, take pics & move it all along.

If/when I sell the amp, the cab can be had loaded or unloaded & GOLDS would cost more than the Greenbacks.

I know not posting a price doesn't help anyone, but I'm not looking to make a killing....the thing just needs to be played ! PM me if ya' wanna chat about it :D

Re: FEELER: Celtic Edana w/Marshall 1966A

If you want to let it go, I can put it out on Facebook. The guy that just bought the only other Irish flag telexed Edana has a lot of envious friends. I'm happy to help you. (Swanson did the tolex on this other one as well)

It's a JTM45 clone with an upper mid gain boost switch, on the subtle side. Heyboer transformers and no telling on which KT66's are in there now. Can be run with EL34's with a bias resistor change. (any tech can do)

Re: FEELER: Celtic Edana w/Marshall 1966A

Thanks Scott. It still has GT KT-66s in it...I think new Tung Sol 12AX7s & a NOS rectifier, but don't recall which.

I'm thinking $1100 + shipping for the head & cab unloaded.... I have 2 Greenbacks, 2 12-65s, & 2 Golds if wanted. I thought the Greenbacks sounded best, FWIW, but in fairness, the others aren't even broken in, so YMMV. :D

As for the 4x10, say $250.00 unloaded or $350.00 loaded. Well, not really loaded. I sold the original speakers with the intentions of getting 2 Weber Blues & 2 Silvers. I have 2 alnico Weber Blues but never got the Silvers.

Re: FEELER: Celtic Edana w/Marshall 1966A

I just thought of something:

If I moved this along, I wouldn't be the "Irish Flagologist" anymore............I shudder to think what might pop up after a sale. :)
