Feeler thread..

Any of y'all with some skill and time interested in some..." Summer Project" guitars? I have a couple of MIJ guitars that with some TLC will be fantastic guitars.

1) My early 80s MIJ Burny/Fernandes Explorer. "purpleburst" Has a cracked headstock. REALLY nice player (seriously, but because of the headstock just won't stay in tune for long), REAL Mahogany (African). Very lightweight. Very resonant and loud acoustically. 59 rounded type neck profile. Great old Burny PAFs. Frets are in very good shape (Low wide vintage Gibson style frets)Needs some glue and clamps and a little TLC. Otherwise in EXCELLENT shape. Very few dings. Gold Hardware (all Gotoh) is tarnished but functions well. Top quality "lawsuit" MIJ axe. I had a local luthier look at it and tell me to play it til it broke and then get it fixed, so the break isn't THAT bad. Should be an easy fix for you tinkerers.

2) a 1985 BC Rich Warlock NJ Series. Candy Apple Red, 6 in line pointy headstock. gold hardware- Kahler flyer trem (arm is bent but trem works fine). Gold hardware tarnished. Basswood body that has its share of dings and scars, but no major damage. Decent piece of wood, not dead, not glorious. Bolt on maple SUPER FAST 24 fret neck (its nearly identical to the old Destroyer II necks in feel). It needs quite a bit more work than the Explorer. Needs some fretwork (replace a few, polish/level the rest), needs new pots & switch. The original Gotoh V2 pups are included but not installed (these are Gotoh's copy of an Super Distortion and the same as Ibby used in the Destroyer IIs, KILLER pups) Plays good as is overall except where the couple of grooved frets are (and even then it's just a little metallic ping type sound and a little harder to bend)-with proper fretwork this thing would be a shred monster. Nice old MIJ thick slab rosewood board. Has a really beat Hardshell case too.

If anyone is interested let me know, and I'll get some pics out of them.

Re: Feeler thread..

Bump-

pricewise..not looking for top dollar...just need to move them

$100 for the BC RICH....

2 bills..... for the Fernandes/Burny (find another 25+ old piece of african mahogany with a good set of PAF types for that kinda cash! :laugh2:)

And will split shipping in the CON USA (figure shipping total would be around $40.00 for the BCR with Case, $20-25 for the Burny-no hard case but will be well packed)

LMK if interested :)
