Feelin the Fury

So I broke down after resisting for years and grabbed a YJM Fury bridge pup, and I am digging it. Like most who play Strats I have fought the bridge pickup ever since day one but this might just be what I have been searching for. The seafoam green strat to the left has DiMarzio HS -2 and 3's in it, and I like them also but the Fury is (insert over used phrase here) kind of between a "real" bucker and a Strat single. Any how just found the need to share.

How do the YJMs differ from the HS-3/2?

Comparing the bridge pups the HS-3 has more of a treble bite to it but not in an ice picky way and maybe slightly more dynamic and super articulate. But also feels a little more on the edge of squealing and being out of control. More raw but in a fun way. But also pretty good at say rockabilly or blues, cleaner stuff. The Fury Bridge seems to be a touch more more compressed and a bit less spikey. More refined and in control, still articulate and while slightly less dynamic the dynamics are still there. But so far it seems the Fury is way better at rock and hard rock, and while you can just turn gain up you know when it just feels right. And the Fury is right there, But it still may not ever be the first choice for a Chugga Chugga style.

ive only played a fury a few times and i was surprised how much i liked it, output was lower than i expected though it didnt sound weak at all

I put them in this guitar with 500K CTS pots and a paper in oil cap. I really like it.

I like the neck pickup with 500K pots very much. Oddly enough, for me, they really shine when played clean. Of course distortion works well.
