Fender Blender Lover Club !

Re: Fender Blender Lover Club !

You know - I was watching some on eBay but never pulled the trigger. Great prices too. Seems like one of those pedals that should be legendary but for some reason is under-valued.

Re: Fender Blender Lover Club !

I've played both old ones and the recent (2004-ish) reissue. They're cool pedals, and nothing else really sounds like it. That being said, it has a habit of frequently 'wigging out' and just making screechy noise as you play which may be why it isn't legendary. Having played both, I like the reissue better than the vintage ones because it at least wigged out in a predictable manner; it had certain 'cues' you could learn to trigger some of this weird behavior. I should also point out that I never bought one because I didn't really have a use for those sounds.

Re: Fender Blender Lover Club !

Ya it does a crazy octave squall like Scramblers only more of it. Practically unusable with more than 2 strings. The boss fz2 did that too.

off u see did MRSAge, I m on tapa talk and auto correct is hating on me

Re: Fender Blender Lover Club !

I've had two, both originals, back in the day. The first one was great, got it when it it first came out. That pedal was stolen in 1972.

So...a couple of years later...I bought another one. This one was used, and didn't sound as good as the first one. Part of that may have been the amp I was using at the time.

And guess what--THAT pedal was stolen too!

Ask me you think I'm ever going to ever buy another one...lol!

I have the VFE Fuzz Cocktail which is like a Blender in an MXR enclosure. You can also switch the octave effect off. This one never really caught on and I don't think its offered outside the custom shop, but I like it way better then the Fender reissue.
