I have played small clubs with a Champ (a Champ is about 3-5 watts!)! Just mic it.
A Bluse Deluxe is about 40 watts and IMO that is plenty enough power!!!

Definitely the Blues Deluxe. Saw some cool ones one ebay today really cheap.

yes, your are correct. plus, it just fun learning about the various models. I've never really been a gearhead until recently. I started playing again in February after selling my stuff off 15 years ago. I'm six months back into guitar playing.
i've got a lot to learn about amps brands models and what they can do.
My sincere thanks and appreciation to all who entertain my threads and queries. I have learned huge amount about amps in the short time I have been on the SDUGF. This, you guys, are an awesome resource.
I figure if I've got a question why not post it.
Back to searching for an amp. I've got 6 months before I have to buy, so I'm just trying to do my homework so that I can make a well informed decision when the time comes.
