I have an old fender champ and the power cord has only two wires on it. Ive heard of some power tools and cd players and video game systems not being grounded because they are all plastic and you wouldnt be touching metal anyways. but i mea cmon. i get shocked whenever i touch the guitar and the amp, i get shocked when i touch the guitar and a friends guitar, i even get shocked when im standing with no shoes on. Why would they ever design an amp without a ground? and what can i do about it becuase i really like this little amp.

Yes, they were originally ungrounded. But even so, it's not supposed to be shocking you like that. Have it checked, serviced and have a three-prong cord put in, which puts the earth/ground prong to the chassis. Otherwise you could die, if the HV gets shorted to the chassis. A little seems to be leaking through as it now appears. Simple fix, life saving mod!
