Anybody try one yet? I looked at one yesterday, but didn't plug into it yet, I'll go back this weekend and do that... but until then, has anyone here played through one of these new little amps?

I've heard a few clips of them.

I really like how they sound. And if it wasn't for the fact that I owe $200 on my taxes this year, I would have one... *sigh*

hes sayin an 8 inch sounds way too small - a 6 inch will be even worse....either that or it was a typo

Ah, that's why I'm wanting to test one. I know cleans will be out the window but if they can get some creamy drive with a push, it might be just fine.

I played one today and all I have to say is... WOW. I was literally blown away by what was coming from a 6 inch speaker. It could have passed for a 12" if I was blind-folded. This amp sounds amazing and SUPER clean. I turned it up 3/4 of the way and still got great clean tones out of it with my strat, definitely need an overdrive pedal if you want any kinda gain out of it, but it's a great little amp. I definitely want one now!

It seems to be their answer to the Epi Valve Jr. I'd love to try one. I wasn't very impressed with the Valve Jr.

You're making me cry man...

I want one so bad but I'm out $1500 now because the transmission in my car just went out. And I owe like hell on taxes...

I think this will be my next amp-like purchase, mainly for home use. How loud was the one you tried Kac?

it was pretty loud. I don't know exactly how to tell you how loud it was though... I couldn't turn it up all the way because there were other people in the music shop... It definitely got louder, was cleaner, and had a much better overall tone then i could have imagined by looking at it or even reading the specs.

They are very attractive on the outside and also on teh wallet. I'd guess they do very well. but, yeah, I might have to order one just to open her up and see what they've done inside. It might be a good candidate for a drop in board.

i was looking at one of these today.... kind of cool toy... it says you can unplug the speaker and use an external speaker cab... i looked up inside the cabnet and the combo's speaker wire is a 1/4 plug in hidden up inside the back of the amp... I wonder if it would have the power to push my 1x12 speaker.....

Well good news, I traded in my crappy AD30VT on one. That got the price around something I can manage even being broke.

I'm expecting it in tomorrow. If anyone has experence with webber 6 inch speakers, please tell me about them. My dad does work for them all of the time and I would be able to get one very cheap. I have a JJ preamp tube sitting around that I can pop in when it gets here too.

I'll try to get some chassis shots.

W O W !

It sounded 10 feet tall! I was totally confused.

It has a HIGH input and a LOW input, high provides more gain than low.
It has a single volume knob that goes up to 12.

I got awesome clean tone out of it, it did not have a dirty tone really, unless cranked on HIGH input, and even then it was clean-ish.

$209 at my local shop, I'd say this is worth it for some.

It's not the amp for me, but I can see a lot of people really loving this amp.

It's "furniture grade" too - It's cool looking and cwould be a conversation starter.

Also has an internal speaker jack so you don't have to have it running through the small speaker unless you don't have another cab.

I'd be curious to hear how it sounds through a larger cab with good speakers.
