Hi all,
I just installed a new set of fender custom shop 69's in my strat. I put the highest resistance pup in the bridge. I also noticed that on the pickup I put in the bridge, the high E pole piece seems to stick out much more proud than on the other two pickups. All of the other pole piece heights are the same across the 3 pickups. I looked at the bottom of the pickup to see if somehow that pole piece was not flush with the bobbin, but it is. So it seems they just used a longer pole piece for this particular pickup (like maybe one of the pole pieces for the D string?).
Has anyone seen this? Any suggestions on what to do?
